Andrei Brighidin

Andrei Brighidin holds an LLM degree in International Development Law and Human Rights from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. He has extensive experience in human rights civil society, governance, research and analysis.

Before joining East Europe Foundation as Director for Development, Monitoring and Evaluation, Andrei worked with UNDP Moldova, managing the Human Rights and Justice Portfolio. Previously he spent more than 7 years setting up the national observers’ movement with the League for Defense of Human Rights of Moldova. Andrei was one of the leading activists with the Coalition for Free and Fair Elections in 2005 and 2007 and coordinated the first Moldova Parallel Vote Tabulation, helping to prevent and deter electoral fraud.

In 2013 he was appointed by the Moldovan Parliament to serve on the Council for Preventing and Combatting Discrimination, function exercised on a voluntary basis.
